Job Announcement: Research Assistant, Part-Time

Mountain Studies Institute is excited to announce that we are expanding our team in San Juan County. We are looking for candidates to fulfill the versatile role of a part-time Research Assistant. The position will provide field and admin support with our ongoing work related to ecosystem, ground water and mine hydrology efforts in the Animas, Hermosa, San Miguel, and surrounding watersheds, as well as in the Bonita Peak Mining District. Our Research Assistant requires extensive, year-round backcountry travel experience and AIARE I avalanche training. This position will also support the data collection and management needs for our hydro-technical, ecosystem and climate research.
