Learn about the impacts of spruce beetles in and around Silverton by helping us to monitor forest health! Two scientists from Mountain Studies Institute will lead the group in establishing long-term forest monitoring plots on Kendall Mountain, which will be part of a network of plots in the region. Learn how to design studies, identify beetles, measure forest health, and leave a legacy in your local forests by helping us track beetle movement.

Bring a lunch, water, sunscreen, layers, sturdy shoes and a day pack to hold it all
