Nurture the inherent creativity and curiosity of kids on a nature walk - with a twist!
With a camera in hand, participants will learn to zoom in and explore the trees, flowers, birds, and insects they find. By learning to look at and appreciate nature through the lens of a camera, kids will come to appreciate the small things, discover new things, and begin to stimulate their imagination and awareness of the natural world. Any digital camera will do. Aspiring young photographers will learn new skills to enhance their knowledge of nature.
This FREE workshop is appropriate for children ages 8 - 12 and will be led by Priscilla Sherman, MSI's Outreach Coordinator and a talented conservation photographer. Participants will meet at the Mountain Discovery Center in Silverton (114 East 12th Street).
For more information or to register, contact Priscilla at priscilla@mountainstudies.org or (970) 749-7894.
