February Snow Science Field Trip

Learn about snow water equivalent testing, the mechanics and layering of snow, snow crystal identification, and climactic patterns and forecasting.

Schedule:

February 11th 2023

8:45: Meet at the Fort Lewis College parking lot by the clocktower

10:00-1:30: Field trip will take place at Andrew’s Lake

2:30: Back on campus

Logistics:

• Transportation from Durango and lunch provided.

• Please bring boots, snow pants, jacket, layers, and a water bottle.
